Film Screening at Georgia Tech

At Georgia Tech, students screened a new one-hour documentary, Badass Beauty Queen on April 12. The film follows Miss World Canada, Anastasia Lin, and her unwavering determination to stick to her conscience in the face of intimidation from an oppressive regime. Anastasia’s commitment to publicizing human rights abuses landed her coverage in The New York Times, speaking engagements at the National Press Club, United Nations, and a meeting with the Dalai Lama — in addition to the support of thousands of young women (21,000 followers on Facebook) who were inspired by her tenacity. After the film screening, Anastasia answered questions from the audience.

Falun Gong Presented at Penn Museum’s Chinese New Year Celebration

Falun Gong practitioners were invited to the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology (Penn Museum) on January 27, 2018, for an event celebrating the upcoming Chinese New Year. Practitioners demonstrated the exercises for crowds of visitors, and footage of the practitioners was featured on a network TV station’s report on the event.

Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance Art Exhibit Touches Hearts at the University of Alberta

The painting was part of the exhibition of some 30 artworks in the “Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance International Art Exhibition” held at the University of Alberta, Canada on November 22-24. The artworks reflect the principles of the ancient cultivation practice of Falun Gong and expose the 18-year persecution of Falun Gong in China.
