Students for Falun Gong Attends the 2023 International Religious Freedom Summit

Young Falun Gong practitioners from Students for Falun Gong (SFFG) and Falun Dafa Information Center (FDI) attended the 2023 International Religious Freedom (IRF) Summit in Washington, D.C. from January 31st to February 1st.

The group of young practitioners traveled from California, New York, and Maryland and consisted of students and young professionals in the music, healthcare, technology, software development, and biotechnology fields. Over the 2-day conference, SFFG and FDI members clarified the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong in mainland China to conference attendees and government officials.

Multiple summit speakers and human rights experts applauded Falun Gong practitioners’ resilience and courage, and condemned the CCP for its ongoing persecution of Falun Gong.

In the Name of Confucius Screening and Panel Discussion

Students for Falun Gong, Students for a Free Tibet, the Athenai Institute, and Falun Dafa Clubs on over 10 college campuses across North America hosted an online screening of the documentary In the Name of Confucius on Saturday, March 20. Over 180 people watched the film and attended the panel discussion.

Up We Soar Screening and A Conversation with Film Protagonist, Fuyao Li

On Saturday, February 6^th, Students for Falun Gong and 14 Falun Dafa Clubs across North America hosted an online screening of the award-winning documentary Up We Soar. The event was attended by over a hundred people and featured a live Q&A with the protagonist, Fuyao Li.

Falun Dafa Club Activities at New York University

On January 29th, members of the Falun Dafa Club at New York University participated in the spring semester Club Festival at the Kimmel Center in downtown Manhattan. The Club Festival welcomed students back for the semester and helped introduce NYU to all the clubs available on campus.

University of Delaware Screens Documentary Film “In the Name of Confucius”

Members of the University of Delaware Falun Dafa Club hosted a screening of the documentary “In the Name of Confucius” on the night of November 13th, 2019 in Trabant Theater. The screening was attended by many University of Delaware students as well as the university’s Vice Provost of Diversity Michael Vaughan, Newark Councilman Chris Hamilton, and Delaware House Representative Paul Baumbach.

Human Rights Film Screening at University of Texas Arlington

On November 7, 2019, the Falun Gong Club at University of Texas Arlington hosted a screening of the documentary film “Letter from Masanjia” in the Lone Star Auditorium. “Letter from Masanjia” is an award-winning 2018 film profiling Sun Yi, a Chinese political prisoner who exposed ongoing human rights abuses at Masanjia Labor Camp when his a letter he wrote was found by Oregon resident Julie Keith in a box of Halloween decorations.
